10 May Are You Creative?
Creativity is one of the most important traits a person can possess. It is a skill people must discover in order to unleash their full potential. This is a fact of life, personally and professionally. You must be creative to get ahead.
“But Nilgun, I’m just not a very creative person, and I never have been.” Well, I’m here to tell you that you’re wrong, and change this false, negative, and cynical way of thinking. Everyone is creative. Everyone is beautiful. Everyone is extraordinary.
If you don’t see this yet, it is only because you are not looking hard enough. By our very nature, human beings are creative creatures. Creativity is in our blood. The mistake many of us makes is thinking that to be a creative person, one must be an artist, or a musician, or a performer: WRONG.
Creativity can be expressed in every aspect of a person’s life, from how you dress, to how you speak, to how you think.I’m here to help you find your inner spirit, to unleash the creativity within. I’m here to lead you to a more productive and happier life.
Creativity is not supported in every culture; some countries, like our own, look to actively stifle creative thinking by pushing everyone into a structured routine, whether in day to day life or in the workplace. This will only serve to hold us back, and it is a bad habit we need to break.
The world is changing rapidly. Businesses are shifting towards unorthodox models, and technology is progressing at such a pace that it can be difficult to stay grounded. In this modern, dynamic environment, it is so important to be adaptive. In order to keep up with the rapid pace of progress, creativity is paramount.
Surround yourself with creative people.
Why? Because creative people are problem solvers, innovators; creative people are the miracle workers of the modern age; creative people make life easier, more enjoyable, more beautiful.
If you feel trapped in a very structured, well-organized routine, and don’t know how to break into a new world of creativity, here are my tips for you:
- Creativity comes from curiosity,
- Creativity comes from trial and error,
- Creativity comes from bravery,
- Creativity comes from allowing mistakes, allowing being,
- Creativity comes from trying to make the world a better place,
- Creativity comes from saying ‘yes’ to your deepest desires,
- Creativity comes from continuous growth, renewal, and transformation,
- Embrace creativity in every aspect of your daily life.
It can come from the simplest of things: trying something new, trying to do a routine thing in a new way, writing a poem, planting a tree, designing your garden, buying colorful pens for your office or fun toys for your desk, wearing the colors you like, or staying up to date with your hobbies.
Unleash this suppressed inner beauty — no matter how small the start — and witness the power of creativity. You’ll smile more, you’ll feel more relaxed, and you’ll even feel more productive.
Embrace creativity, and, in the words of Steve Jobs,
“stay hungry, stay foolish.”
